Dr. Kristen DeAngelis is a microbiologist at UMass Amherst where she researches how climate change impacts soil microbes and looks at plant-microbe interactions. A lot of her research feeds into investigating how to develope effective biofuels and how microbes can play a role in our greenhouse gas emissions. Dr. DeAngelis works on a long term study site that has been operating since 1991 and investigating the effects warming has on the soil.
